Thanks to the tireless work of volunteers, one of the four YF-117 Nighthawk aircraft that participated in the final Edwards Air Force Base flyover has been brought to its final resting place at our Flight Test Center Museum.

For more information, the Edwards Air Force Base news article can be found here.

The aircraft being moved into position for the night-time move through the back streets of Antelope Valley. The all volunteer team did an outstanding job.

The move began right on time at 10 PM on June 7, 2012.

The YF-117 arrived at Edwards AFB just at sun rise. The aircraft was then towed up
Lancaster Blvd (South Gate entrance) to the Main Base and put into storage where it will be restored. Here the aircraft enters the Main Base complex.
